Another year has come and gone, and it is time to review InfoComm and reflect on what the future of technology brings. Overall, there was a general feeling of optimism on the show floor, which was a positive change from last year, with all its uncertainty. In fact, InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas was the second largest show in the history of InfoComm, with 32,000 attendees, 925 exhibitors, and 300+ educational seminars.
There were few “oh wow” products at the show, mostly incremental product and technology improvements. In addition, there were a number of technologies that were front and centre during the show that will likely impact AV rentals over the next couple of years. These technologies are 3D, HD, LED, Internet Protocol (IP), and Remote Conferencing.
