Brian Farrell

Joining Freeman in 1984, Brian brought a well-rounded financial background that provided the experience needed to run a successful organization. He has continued to expand on this expertise, providing clients with accurate, timely information and reaffirming Freeman’s status as the industry leader in service excellence. Now the senior vice president of finance, Brian is dedicated to implementing process improvements and managing and coordinating the Canadian branches’ budget processes and payroll functions.

To do so, Brian frequently interacts with Freeman colleagues to resolve issues arising from new processes or business models. He prides himself on facing—and successfully resolving—a multitude of financial, operations, and sales challenges every day—and inspiring colleagues to do the same. In doing so, he captures strategic information that is used enterprise-wide to make business decisions. Brian never accepts the status quo; he prides himself on doing the research and having the knowledge to reinvent his services daily. This ability to adapt, change, and keep up with the ever-changing industry is how he helps keep Freeman at the forefront.

Brian has earned the Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant designations; he is also an active member of the Financial Executives Institute. Brian enjoys conquering financial, operations, and sales-related obstacles; for him, serving internal and external clients is his favorite part of the job.
